Bethlehem, Pa. February 6, 2012 - The General Manager of the Historic Hotel Bethlehem, Dennis J. Costello, is pleased to announce that the hotel has received a record number of hospitality awards since it’s re-opening more than a decade ago.
Historic Hotel’s of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation has presented the Historic Hotel Bethlehem, with two prestigious awards. The first for, “Marketing & Promotions”, was granted to only six of the two hundred and twenty historic hotel’s across the nation. “This award is given to those who provide innovative, unique packages and showcase historic experiences, which is core focus of our Sales and Marketing team” says Costello. The second, for receiving a “Perfect Brand Assurance Score” is an additional honor. Costello continues, “we are very proud members of Historic Hotel’s of America and therefore we emphasize our affiliation”. In an independent audit for the support and promotion of the Historic Hotel’s of America, brand, the hotel scored a perfect 100%.
Additionally, the hotel has again received two awards from the “Who’s Who in Lehigh Valley Business”, which is chosen by residents of the Lehigh Valley. Polk-Lepson, a market research firm based in New York City, spends months conducting independent research and polling local residents to select this distinguished group of leaders in their field. The two awards received are in the categories of; “Hotel” and “Banquet Facility”. Lehigh Valley Style magazine has sponsored this yearly survey of consumer preference for 30 years. “We’ve set high goals and are very conscientious about reaching them, so it’s nice to have this kind of affirmation” says Costello.
To complete this list of hospitality industry accolades, the hotel has once again won the Morning Call’s “Reader’s Choice Award” for Best Sunday Brunch. To compliment these awards, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant “1741 on the Terrace” has been honored with Wine Spectator’s esteemed “Award of Excellence” for the third consecutive year, and has received the “Diner’s Choice” award from Open Table. In addition, “1741 on the Terrace” is a member of the exclusive Chaine des Rotisseurs, the world’s oldest food and wine society.
