Bethlehem, Pa., (October 27, 2009) – Dennis Costello, General Manager of the Historic Hotel Bethlehem announces the launch of the hotel’s yearly project “Commence Christmas.” The hefty task is set in motion with two professional designers supervising and organizing the set-up along with the hotel’s engineering staff.
“Guests travel thousands of miles to experience Christmas in Bethlehem, we work very hard at making sure every visit is memorable” says Costello. For a number of years the hotel has employed designers Gary Burger and Robert Averill to coordinate the decorating project as well as design the elaborate displays. Their designs are structured to highlight the beautiful architectural features of the hotel. More than forty thousand lights are used in the display which runs throughout the hotel. The project necessitates 60 hours of preparation by designers and engineering staff.
