2009 Wine Spectator Award

Bethlehem, Pa., (September 30, 2009) Dennis Costello, General Manager of the Historic Hotel Bethlehem is pleased to accept Wine Spectator’s 2009 Award of Excellence for the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, “1741 on the Terrace”.  The coveted award, hand selected each year by Wine Spectator’s judges, represents an exceptional selection of winemakers.  To qualify for this honor recipients must offer a well-chosen wine selection of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

Restaurants winning Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence are recognized for an interesting selection of wine that appeals to a wide variety in wine connoisseurs. The former Sommelier of “1741 on the Terrace” who is now the executive chef, Federica Muggenburg, conscientiously chooses only the finest wines from the world’s preeminent vineyards and has created a wine cellar of great scope to pair with one of the best in culinary offerings in the Lehigh Valley.  The New American menu changes seasonally and boasts fresh, locally & organically grown ingredients.
